Day 1: Tivat/Podgorica Budva
Flight to Montenegro. Transfer to our hotel.
Day 2: Budva Sveti Stefan Petrovac
We start today with a city walk in Budva. We then take a relaxing boat trip in the bay of Budva, past the islands of Sveti Nikola and Sv. Stefan, followed by a visit to the Reszevici monastery. The former fishing village of Petrovac on a beautiful red sandy bay is then on the program. Return to the hotel in the evening.
Day 3: Cetinje Njegusi Kotor
We leave our hotel on the coast. Finally we reach the old capital of the country, Cetinje. Once the capital of the Kingdom of Montenegro. After an extensive walk through the town, you have the opportunity to visit the Royal Palace. Drive to the village of Njegusi. A tasting of the famous dried ham awaits us here. In the afternoon, the next highlight of the trip - Kotor and, after a short coffee break, a wonderful boat trip in the Bay of Kotor, which takes us to the monastery island of Maria on the Rock and on to Perast. Return to the hotel.
Day 4: Bar Lake Scadar
After breakfast, we first head south to the town of Bar. The old town is located in the shelter of the castle perched on the rock of Rumia mountain. It was not until the 19th century that this abandoned settlement developed into the new district of Novi Grad. From there we reach Lake Scadar and the national park of the same name. On arrival, we take the boat out and reach the former state prison "Montenegrin Alcatraz", an abandoned prison island.
Day 5: Ostrog Monastery
After breakfast, we head to the famous Ostrog Monastery. Built into the rocks like a bird's nest, the most important sanctuary of the Serbian Orthodox Church awaits us. After the guided tour, we have some free time before returning to our hotel.
Day 6: Train Ride On Tito's Mountain Railway
A unique experience is on the program today. From Bar, we take the train through the gorges of Montenegro to Kolasin. On the way back we visit the Moraca monastery.
